The Body Project

Start empowering yourself and join the Body Project today! This project consists of online meeting sessions over the course of 4 weeks. Focused on guiding you to build confidence and develop a positive relationship with your body.

Health, Safety, and Well-being of Hospitality Industry Workers

Mind and Movement Study

This study will be taking place in Palmerston North. Contact R.barclay@massey.ac.nz to join the study and get further information. Participants must be healthy post-menopausal women between the ages of 65-80 to take part.

  • To show appreciation for their time, participants will receive a koha(gift).
  • Included will be a 12-week at-home light resistance exercise program, as well as a daily step goal.

THE LIPOCRE STUDY

The aim of this study is to determine the gut response and rate of blood appearance of creatine monohydrate. We aim to investigate the digestibility and bioavailability of liposomal creatine, a new formulation of a common supplement.

Who we are looking for:

  • Healthy males aged 18–65 years old
  • BMI between 18–30
  • No known bleeding, gastrointestinal, or metabolic disorder
  • Not currently using creatine supplementation

Participants will receive vouchers as a koha (gift) of $760 upon completion.

RESEARCH IN ACTION

Join us for an in-depth look at the Pre-diabetes study being conducted at Massey University, where participants have their BMI and HbA1c measured before and after consuming beetroot juice made by Massey students. This study aims to assess the juice’s potential to improve blood flow throughout the body.

Pre-Diabetes Study

This study explores the impact of lactose as a carbohydrate source during endurance exercise, particularly in cycling. Participants will spend 2 to 3 hours in the lab, where they will undergo breath analysis and test various carbohydrate drinks to assess their effects on performance. Your involvement could help shed light on how lactose can enhance endurance and inform future nutritional strategies for athletes.
