  • Do I need experience in research to participate?

No, as long as you meet the inclusion criteria for the specific study. Inclusion criteria will be looking for age, sex, etc.

  • What kind of kohas/compensation can I receive through participating?

Kohas are specific to each study and are often cash or gift cards for major retailers.

  • What would I need to do and where would I go to participate?

Each study is unique and may require participants to come to our lab located at Massey University, Auckland. Our research is focused on peoples’ well-being so you may be asked to fill out questionaires, try different health supplements, exercise testing, and many more.

  • What if have concerns regarding safety and privacy?

As part of researchers’ requirements for starting a study, every aspect is approved by an ethics committee to ensure the least amount of risk possible. Before you begin any participation, you will be provided with a consent form laying out how your information will be used in the study and possible risks associated with the activity you would be doing. At any point in time, you are allowed to withdraw your consent to participate or have your information used.

  • Do I get to know the findings from the research?

Yes, if you want to. Along with the consent form you can check a box to indicate if you would like a copy of the findings sent to you after publication.
